The following seats will be up for election in August 2024:
- School Board (one each from even-numbered districts, and any unexpired terms)
- County Property Assessor
- State Democratic Executive Committee members from SD28 (one male, one female)
The following seats will be up for election in November 2024:
- President and Vice-President of the United States
- State Representatives
- State Senate (SD28)
- United States Representative
- United States Senator
- City of Columbia Council Members (non-partisan)
Other offices may appear on the ballot to fill unexpired terms.
Candidates must file a petition and campaign finance reports. Write-in candidates are allowed but must file ahead of the election. Note that some offices require special training. Please see the Maury County Election Commission for more information.
Information About Voting
You can register to vote online or request an absentee ballot through the Tennessee Secretary of State’s voting website (govotetn.com). You must register to vote at least 30 days before an election.
Elections in Maury County are administered by the Maury County Election Commission. Their voter information page is a good resource for additional information.
Information For Poll Workers
We need good Democrats to serve as poll workers in all of our voting precincts on Election Day.
This is a paid job (up to $200 per day, depending on job role).
If you would like to serve as a poll worker, please download, print, and fill out this form and then get in touch with us so that we can deliver it to the Election Commission for you.
Redistricting
County reapportionment was completed in November 2021, changing the boundaries for County Commission and School Board.

Tennessee State House maps were proposed in December 2021 and were passed by the Tennessee Senate and Tennessee House in January 2022. This created two Tennessee House districts whuch include parts of Maury County:
- District 64, including the eastern part of the county (most of Columbia and Spring Hill); and,
- District 71, including the western part of the county, as well as parts of Lawrence, Wayne and Hardin counties.

All of Maury County was placed in Tennessee Senate District 28, and U.S. House District 5.


These maps are subject to litigation, and the Tennessee Democratic Party has threatened to sue. We will provide additional information on litigation as it develops.
